I suffer from “too good to be true” syndrome

Anticipation at its finest level

Does anyone else experience this? You get a weird anxious sensation in your stomach when everything seems like it’s going too well in life for you?

Why can’t I just absorb everything in normally and positively instead of feeling anxious?

I love my job, although it’s only part-time retail for now, but I’m actually passionate about the brand and I like my colleagues (most of the time anyway lol). I enjoy my course and I like how there are workshops, lectures and practicals so that we can get the most out of our time at University. I also just bought so many new clothes and shoes that I adore!!

Everything in life is temporary, so it frightens me sometimes when I value something so much!!

I JUST FEEL REALLY GOOD AND I NEED TO STAY FEELING GOOD RATHER THAN FINDING AN EXCUSE TO FEEL LIKE SHIT. Damn.

If you also experience this shitty syndrome, please let me know… I need to know I’m not the only one! Lol. – Although I do hope most of you don’t feel like this.

Yours Truly,

P xx

  1. Honestly… I know exactly how you feel. I am always waiting for the other show to drop. Try writing in a journal, it helps to write your weird feelings like this down and then a few days later when you go back and read it you sometimes laugh like, ” why would that make me feel that way.” It helps, I promise.
